The battleground that actually most feels like a battle is taking place, so good isle of conquest tried to copy it (but failed)

My favorite BG... well used to be. In my battle group AV is currently a drag race with little confrontation. They need to buff those adds standing next to the Generals and make capping towers a must. Tanks are cutting through the bosses and adds like they are cheesecake.

My favorite BG. But my vote is for the old school version of AV, not the foot race it's become now.

I am with agreement with Massdesign
I used to run AV nightly for hours on end and it was a blast. As Furer stated it really does actually feel like a battle and while capture the flag is fun it doesn't have the same large scale strategic feel that old AV did before it was turned into a zerg match. Low level AV still has some spirit but I almost wish back for the days of NPC's every 20 yards and doing all the mid-game quests.

for the longest time this was my favorite BG. the various nerfs over the years though have made this more of a headlong zerg instead of the massive battle it once was. i fondly remember groups stockpiling blood or other player loot to summon the various available NPC's to join the fray. those were good times.

It really would be amazing if some of the epic feel could be brought back into AV.

Summoning Lok and having it turn the tide of battle, massive fights at chokepoints, desparate fights to defend/capture a tower...

Now most people complain about 'turtling' if an AV takes more than 15 minutes to complete. : (

One of my favorite moments in WoW was an AV where we were down 50 resources to 200. We banded together and won through 20 minutes of pure slaughter : )

I admit, I never really played AV until recently. I know that, in order to win it, you're really supposed to down the opposite faction leader... But I've found that I do enjoy the times when it's just us and them, holding the line, the occasional brave (foolish) soul trying to cross into the other side and getting cut down in the massive incoming damage from the casters in the back and the melee in the front who are all angry about the encroaching opponent.

It's a great feeling to watch your enemies falling back as you push harder and harder into the fray.

Went from an epic massive pvp battle, to the annoying pve footrace it's become.
