The Undercity was so named many years before the Forsaken claimed it as their own. Far beneath the palace of Lordaeron, the Undercity held the ancient crypts and catacombs of Lordaeron's royalty, as well as the city's dungeons and sewers. When the Alliance captured Orgrim Doomhammer, they sent him to the Undercity; sometime later he managed to escape and wandered for many years afterwards.

Lordaeron's capital city stood for centuries, a monument to humanity's might. In the Third War, Prince Arthas slew his father, King Terenas, in Lordaeron’s throne room and ransacked the city. He planned to use Lordaeron as his capital on this continent and ordered his minions to expand the catacombs beneath the city. Then the Lich King summoned Arthas to Northrend and the work was left uncompleted.

During Arthas' exodus, Sylvanas Windrunner broke free of the Lich King’s control and took many banshees and other undead with her. With Varimathras' assistance she defeated the dreadlords that controlled the city and set her newly dubbed Forsaken to finish Arthas' job in the dungeons. The Forsaken carved the Undercity and now rule the surrounding countryside.

My favourite city, especially with the new mailboxes so close to the auctioneers.

This joint nearly drove me insane for weeks, but I think I might have checked the mini map earlier than Soap...hehe.

This place is so awesome, Well layed out and everything an Undead City should be. The entrance is really awesome also, The ruined city of lordearon on top and the City of the Damned beneath.

I have a Horde although my main is Alliance. I hate UC. I always, always get lost. I've done For the Alliance so many times that, when I try to come in the doors from the blimp on my horde, I can't find the elevators. I've tried to go in with the same wonder I've had with the other horde cities and I just can't summon any enthusiasm for this place.

I love the atmosphere of the city. Now,if only I could find my way around. I've been there just once but I spent 15 minutes trying to find the exit.Part of those 15 minutes might have been because I was sidetracked looking at the architecture.

This is one of those cities that you end up wearing the 'M' off your keyboard while navigating... And talking to the guards every other second to find a trainer or vendor or whatever. The ring setup is kinda neat, but having the entrances between the rings offset to each other increases time from running from outer to inner. Probably one of the hardest cities for the Alliance to raid due to this design which is good, but annoying for the rest of us ;P

This is probably my favorite city, just cuz of the Tim Burton-y feel to the place

Five years playing the game and I still usually make a full circle around the central area before I find the bat handler!

When you consider though, that this is a feature, not a bug... well I can't.

The echoes of the conversation between Arthas and his father in the entrance hall are a great touch.

I remember the first time I came in here, I couldn't figure out how to even get to the other wings of the place.

Voted as an Alliance member. Biggest pain in the bum for my faction. No one knows where the heck to go and visually its really cool.

You may probably be able to make gold by escorting people around this place lol. So many people seem to have problems getting around it.

Trolls on mounts + Elevator Doorway = Fail..

As previously stated, inconvenient for trolls and tauren. Decent layout; nice enough look, if you like your cities dark and spooky with fel-green ooze canals. And I won't miss the abominations at all.
