Engineering is a very fun and creative Profession. You can create all kinds of wacky things that are fun to use and also entertain and amaze other players. Engineering is used to assemble metal and stones into parts needed to make explosives, guns, scopes, bullets, mechanical dragons, aquatic helmets, and much more. More than any other Profession, engineering products require several steps to be completed. Most items created by engineers can only be used by engineers. You can sometimes create something you can sell to another engineer. Many engineering recipes require a lot of different parts before the item can be created. This will require more space in your bags than other Professions.

Great for getting alts geared beyond what should be possible. My level 52 Rogue has two items with 109 iLevel.

Engineering was a very annoying and expensive profession in original wow, with a few perks and fun things, but really nothing to sell (back in the days when gold wasn't easy to get) or show for.

It picked up a bit in TBC with some useful items and good armor pieces, and it now a very viable profession in Wrath.

All in all a fun profession to have nowadays.

I actually miss the usefulness of Vanilla WoW's Engineering. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped a wipe from happening because of the dummies that were basically earth elementals.

A pretty good profession for the mount and mini-pet collectors out there because of the BOP items that require engineering such as Lil' Smoky. It can usually pull in a few good laughs too.

So glad the Mechano-Hog didn't require Engineering to use. Now if only the flying mounts were the same way.

Useless to make money, but fun to the end!

Been an engineer since vanilla WoW.

Never looked back! What we may lack or have lacked at some stage in the past is made all the better by the awesome factor!

Give us some more goggles at the top end, and I'll be happy. (As it is, I make jokes about my troll mage being an "arms dealer.")

Engineering, since Wrath, has given more awsome "tinkers" to fill was was previously individual items uses. Untill i got that parachute tinker, i wore my parachute cloak at all times....i fell down a whole lot.

Always wear one when training/questing in Howling Fojord, saves lives.
