HuntersHunters

  Path: Classes :: Hunters
Hunters are deadly marksmen, capable of bringing their enemies down from a distance with bows or rifles. Skilled survivalists, they can track enemies or lay traps to damage and entrap their foes. Hunters also possess a primal connection to the beasts of Azeroth, capable of taming and training them to keep as loyal guardians. Wearing light to medium armor, hunters can also dual wield weapons in combat, fighting beside their pets in battle.

the class absolutely fascinated me when i first began my journey into Azeroth, hunters seemed wise and limitless when i was a noob. i thought they actually formed long and meaningful bonds with pets and that taming was actually hard, where you had to get the animals trust first... boy was I a noob!

Also the first class I rolled in WoW and still have a place in my heart even though I don't play one anymore.

The solo class IMO, and easy to play. Took him all the way to 80, and currently spend a lot of time in battlegrounds. Why, hunters and rouges get a bad rap and it is hard to find a group when you are not a tank or a healer.

Comon people, vote up. We've got death knights gaining on us.

For mechanics and generally playing the game, much prefer my warlock, but nothing will ever beat hunting down rare-skinned pets weeks before they are patched and made uncatchable.

I play an 80 hunter and I love it. Soloing quests that normally require a group, or killing elites single handedly always makes me happy. When I'm in Arenas and Kill Shot comes up and it crits, I just smile and laugh to myself every time. Great choice for a first class. It doesn't take a whole lot of skill to play a hunter, but it takes a good player to play it WELL.

My first ever class. I've still got a couple hanging around somewhere. I think when the next expansion hits, I'll take my highest level Hunter (55 ish) the rest of the way to the level cap.

Hunter is the noob class of choice. They're the fastest levelers due to their high solo ability. Send in the pet to take aggro while you dish out a bajillion ranged DPS :D Wearing mail is an added benefit so you can take a hit, and if you need to melee you can 1h, 2h, or dual wield. Hunters have a lot of variety.
My first toon was a hunter... back when Orc Hunters were OP'd :D And my main right now is a hunter.

This class will seem overpowered in PvP at the lower levels, but evens out as the classes go closer to the cap. Useful and sometimes underrated in endgame content, but essential none the less

Been playing one since vanilla and still my favorite class. I love that if you ever get a little bored with your toon, you can go out and tame a new pet and experiment a little bit.

When I started playing, two of my friends were level 70 hunters. I rolled a rogue....... and they could always run me through whatever or get the mats i needed no problem. So I thought I'd also roll a hunter to be a farm character... Damn this class is boring. And mana? I really haven't had fun playing any class other than Paladin with a mana pool. Maybe when they change it to Focus for Hunters I'll like the class a bit more.
