PriestsPriests

  Path: Classes :: Priests
Priests are the masters of healing and preservation, restoring their wounded allies, shielding them in battle, and even resurrecting their fallen comrades. While they have a variety of protective and enhancement spells to bolster their allies, priests can also wreak terrible vengeance on their enemies, using the powers of shadow or holy light to destroy them. They are a diverse and powerful class, highly desirable in any group, capable of fulfilling multiple roles.

one of the harder classes to play, mostly for experienced, hardcore players.

I've never been past lvl 22 with this class. It just seems like it was too slow to kill anything. I hear it picks up a lot after 40 though.

Yeah in the beginning, you're a melee priest XD But it gets better. Once I hit 30 and got Vamp Embrace, it was easier. And once you get shadowform, its even better. One of the hardest classes to level in the beginning imo, especially compared to what I experienced on my hunter(ezmode).

I've never made it past lvl 15 as a priest... I just can't make myself stay with it when I end up getting killed by a same lvl cat or wolf.
I can see (and I would imagine anyone can) the value of Priests though. Of course they're a necessity in just about any group nowadays as the main healer/buffer. Paladins, Druids, and Shammies can heal sure, but to the same effect as a Priest...
They're the ultimate Support class... and that's why I can't lvl one :P

One of the quintessential healers of WoW. Got it's rep as a grade 1 healer and never looked back. It is always good to see one of these healing be it raid or tank heals.

Priests are indeed one of the more difficult classes to play, let alone perfect. As a low level priest, it is often discouraging to level until you reach level 40 and obtain Shadowform, and even more discouraging if you are attempting to level in a healing specialization, unless you are leveling through dungeon farming.

At higher tiers of content, priests are considered extremely valuable, whether they are in a group as a healer or as DPS. Shadow priests tend to start out expansions performing well compared to other DPS classes, but have had issues in the past with scaling, specifically in regards to haste. However, talented shadow priests can perform competitively with other DPS classes if played by someone dedicated to the class.

Holy priests are extremely valuable raid healers, and can often out-perform other healing classes when it comes to raid healing. Discipline priests are amazing tank and damage mitigation healers. However, both healing specs require very dedicated players to perform well when compared to some of the other healing classes.

From personal experience, many of the people that I have played with complain about the difficulty of playing a priest compared to their main class when they begin playing.

Lv11 at this time of writing and yes it is hard (also not very good for PvP), aiming for healing but I might have to respec shadow just to level because it is taking FAR too long to kill anything!
Also I seem to be made of paper in terms of defence and health -_-
Confused as to wth Dicipline does :S Heal? DPS? or Buff?
