Not as great as Tirisfal or Hillsbrad, but the chain involving Fenris Isle is quite fun.

The Alliance once kept Silverpine Forest pristine and beautiful. In those days, the forest resembled the Hinterlands far to the east. Since the Third War, no one is left to take care of the forest, and it has grown wild. After the Forsaken broke from the Lich King's dominance they claimed Silverpine as part of their territory, though a great many dispute that claim. Forsaken, gnolls, worgen, vicious animals and mysterious curses fill Silverpine Forest with adventure.

Silverpine Forest was once kept safe by the Alliance-affiliated kingdoms of Lordaeron, Gilneas, and Dalaran. The woods were lush and beautiful, full of birdsong and the scent of tree sap and tilled earth. Farmsteads laid claim to parts of the woods, and the plentiful mines in the area yielded deposits of silver.

During the Third War, the forest was affected by the plague of undeath. The forces of the Lich King invaded the woods, setting fire to the crops and massacring its people. With Lordaeron destroyed, the wizards of Dalaran busy rebuilding their home, and the citizens of Gilneas having locked themselves away behind the Greymane Wall, no one was left to take care of the forest. The plague began to affect the trees, making them pale and lifeless with disease. Since its fall, the forest has become occupied by the Forsaken, minions of Thule Ravenclaw, and the forces of Arugal. Its fate lies in uncertain hands as the opposing factions vie for control of the strategically important woods.

I had loads of fun RPing here on my human warlock. We set up in Pyrewood Village and Ambermill, and for about 3 months I had a great time. As a low level, I would often go out by myself to hunt down a Son of Arugal to test my powers. It didn't last very long, but I have some good memories and I continue to play on that character (who has the largest backstory I am likely to come up with in a long time).

Also, it had a cool story arc for horde characters leveling here and my favourite dungeon ever. The music here and in SFK definitely rank highly out of that in the game and I'll sometimes listen to it on iTunes while I'm playing in a different zone. Overall a very good atmosphere.

If you enjoyed this zone too, I recommend Duskwood. It has the same music and feel to it, but with quests which aren't quite as cool (at least as far as I can remember).
